I read somewhere about the yellow coris wrasse, but that's after-the-fact. Not sure if coral dips would work on vermatids, but would be curious.

I've used Coral Rx and Revive to dip things with vermetids (the small kind) in my tank, and they don't seem to work at all. All the snails lived. I've also tried bumble-bee snails and they aren't doing squat for me either. Last time I upgraded I tried to get rid of them by crushing-scraping off every one I could fine on corals/clam, using only dry rock and seeding with a fist sized piece from someone elses tank, and still the buggers are starting to take over my 90g (running for 8 months). I hate them.

A shot in the dark of course, but given what it does to the more desirable snails (and crabs), I'd think an Interceptor dip might be worth a try.

I had this problem after one snuck in on a frag plug! honestly, I drained the tank and vinegar bathed the entire 90 gallon tank for two days to make sure none survived in the overflow and what not. Then put my tank back together and problem solved. It set me back a month or two but overall I am really happy I went through with it. I used new pukani rock from BRS, dropped a new bag of sand in and the issues were over. Now I diligently check for vermetids whenever adding anything to my tank.
