Vertex Illumina Club

thanks for the update.

Its funny though, on Vertex website look under Illumina it states aux pads are available in Red, Green and UV. What kind of BS false advertising is that then?

Any one know of any good strip LED fixture that has Royal Blue, Red and UV in one strip? I want to get two to supplement my Illumina.

The only fixture I KNOW of out there now with UV capability is a Maxpect Mazarra... and that would be a complete replacement (not supplemental).

I have a firmware update question. I posted it on the studio programming thread, sent email to Vertex and Proline support and have got no response so far. Hopefully someone will chim in here.

From Vertex webite, they have the v-link firmware 1.695. I understand that this firmware is for the USB V-link stick. Can anyone let me know how to upgrade the firmware of the v-link stick?

If I go to the desktop software, summary, update firmware, it is for updating the light fixture, but not the stick itself.

Thanks in advance.

For this test I only did the one point, middle bottom of tank ( I did check right on the front of the tank also with similar reading due to the reflection off the glass im guessing)

I only did the bottom as my scape has my SPS pretty much on the bottom of the tank.

Thanks for the pic. What settings where the three at W B RB ?

this was done with full 100% on each color, I keep my light at 80;85;85 now from my current testing ( I was at 85;100;100) but didnt get a significant increase in readings by running the lights that strong.

I get a nice crisp white like my old phoenix MH globes with the current setting

On the latest version of the Desk Top, there is a V-Stick update. If you haven't already done so, download the newest Desk Top first, then up-date the stick and then the Firmware (lamp software) All three are new.

Oh, I have been using the latest desktop softwre but for some reason I didn't check the options under the File menu! Now I have updated it. Thanks a lot!
