My IN80 is now starting to break in and become more predictable. This is my first skimmer of this type and I'm getting used to the adjustment and how a very small change can make a very big difference.

ok 2 months into having the in 180 still loving it, but really feel the pump isnt enough for it, having to close pipe 3/4's of the way, tempted to get the next size up skimmers pump and try it out
Don't you guys think running the airline hooked up to the elbow restricts the air flow? I am running mine not connected right now and hooked up the air meter and getting about 27 lpm. Is that what you I am supposed to get out of this pump?
Is this right?

There is a little rubber gasket that prevents the top of the pipe from fully inserting into the bottom.Do I shove it in there or does it ride as is in the pic.The reason i ask is other peoples pics Ive seen this gap is not there.
