Just posted this in the breeding forum.
I have a cardinal (single fish) that just laid eggs (spawned? - or is that with two fish?) and is now incubating them in her mouth. First question. Why is she laying eggs when there is no other cardinal in the tank? Second. Why does she have them in her mouth if she laid them? I thought the males did that. Third. Is she a she? Final question. Is there a remote possibility that they will develop?
Thanks
