very very strange

I have some kind of invert in my tank which can change colors and blend in like an octopus, it can change is camo very quickly with very very fine detail. It reminds me of an uncooked egg on a plate with the yoke being the color shifting part and a tranluscent skirt, over all it is about 2.5 inches in diameter..

What is this thing, I thought it was an octopus after I saw it color shift, but I could not identify any appendages...

I can only think of it being a cephlapod, but not having any appendages would rule that out, unless of course it is only showing you its posterior.

Is it a translucent flatworm? The internal color will vary depending on whatever's in its gut.

The coloshifting ability of this creature was awesome, it went from purple coraline to the brown/green rock color in seconds, it even mimics the barnacles that were on the rock. I will keep tryign to take a picture of it, its a tricky to find it

i didnt think a cephlopod could be a hitch hicker, he must has surived a few days on a plane and a couple in transit to the lfs, I will try to capture this beast on film err in memory

Sounds like a cuttlefish. If you can keep that one alive, you'll have a real tank star.
