OKay,
I've been researching this device for awhile and dredged up some old threads on making a Reverse Carlson Surge Device (RCSD). I have a good understanding of how they work, but I don't know what the prerequisites for the sytem are.
Here's what I'm considering:
I have a oceanic 42G hex tank that is not drilled or anything. I intend on making an internal 1G RCSD out of acrylic sheets or PVC. But I am not sure if my system is appropriate because it is glass and also only 24" wide. Should I perhaps go with a 1/2G surge?
Another interesting Idea that I had was to exhaust RCSD into a sump mounted above the display that then drained down into the display tank.
People don't seem to post much about these devices, so I'm not sure how much people know about these. But if you do, PLEASE post something.
I think a reply to this thread may be a long shot.
