Video: Feeding time

Let me preface this video by saying it's not a live feeding, but rather a short clip of Gatorade making a trip to the surface to ambush an unsuspecting piece of krill.

What impresses me is the first time he did this, the coordination wasn't happening for him, and each trip up usually resulted in quick decent after he miscalculated his approach. But over time, he he got better at it to the point now where he bolts up and down in one shot as seen in this clip.

Anyone had any experience with Mantis's jumping out of the water? I have nightmares about that.

When I used a feeding stick to feed him, I would occasionally pull the stick out of the water about an inch while he was grabbing it. For several seconds he would continue hang on and pound the stick to retrieve the food lodged in it and then eventually released and fell back into the water. If he wasn't successful the first time, he would repeat the process.

Maybe I can get some video of this.

Anyone had any experience with Mantis's jumping out of the water? I have nightmares about that.
