Nice coral growth, but yes I had to stop watching when I saw the tang.

Tang was a rescue/rehab. I adopted him from a LFS where he was returned cause he was in real bad shape. I figured he's free and will probably die anyways so home he went with me. Two months in the tank and he's ready for his new 280 SPS reef owned by a close friend of mine. I love making things better. He wouldn't eat according to the store. He started gobbling down frozen cyclops first feeding. Now he's mint. OK, now that that is cleared up.......

OMG, you tang abuser!!! You will burn for all eternity!!:p
Hey whats up Jay!! Tank looks great!! Laz told me you posted in here.
Btw, love the porn music!!:D

I thought to myself 'corals are sexy right?'.

I hope to get a real camera so I can catch their real colors.

And thanks for all the contributions Jason(Jax).

Jason you took the words out of my mouth. :)

Sweet tank!

Boom Chica Chica Boom Boom.

Many hobbyists (to include myself) use smaller systems with juveniles of larger species as grow-out or recovery tanks. What made me shudder is the thought of catching a fish like that amongst the array of stony corals. I hope you have a good fish trap, or an abundance of nets.

Best of Luck...

Lol tang police, I'm sure it eats plenty of nori and will endup in a good home when it gets of size. I have no problem with tank raising tangs in small systems(usually juvi yellow and kole eye tangs work great in small systems, esp if you have creatures that like to eat snails and hermits. I plan on getting a small yellow tang for my 37g tall here pretty soon. ;) As far as catching fish, A small hook and line with the barb pinched down works fine, just dont let them swallow the hook, if they do you can cut the line and they usually live. Good luck

Hahaha that's funny! I was thinking about all kinds of obnoxious comments too. I'll refrain!

GORGEOUS tank!
Beautiful fish!
Dig the tunes!

schweet system..what are your specs and equipment. I also have a 20H that I re-set a few weeks ago do to crash..do you use reactor or manually dose?

again, awesome tank..how long has it been running?

Thanks for the comments. The tank has been up for a year now. I use Instant Ocean and due five gallons weekly. Equipment is pretty simple on this tank:

20 gal extra high AGA

Current Outer Orbit 150w HQI w/ (2)64w PC + Lunars

Marineland Bio-wheel 170 hange on filter-no wheel, no cartridges, just Tonga rubble 1 1/2-2lbs and nylon bags running phoszorb(I know) and Miracle Mud.

Prism Deluxe protein skimmer - I run the activated carbon in here. No room for the surface skimmer.

2 Tunze 6025's, 2 Maxi-jet 1200's

About 30lbs of Fiji LR + 5lbs of Tonga branch
1 1/2 in. bed of crushed coral

I dose ESV 2 part
ESV Magneseum
Coral Vite
Phyto Plex
Cyclopeez frozen
Sea Chem Reef Plus
I only have three fish and don't feed heavy so I think they benefit from the aminos and food.

Params.

Alk. 9.5dhk
Ca. 480ppm
Mag. 1450
Nitrates <20ppm
Phos. 0

I hope to have pictures that display the colors better soon.

Nice tank, digging the tons of different acros. You should be very proud. So is the extra-high basically two 10's stacked on top of each other? (20 x 10 x 23) Also, I would like to see or hear how you keep miracle mud in a penguin 170.
Again, very nice tank.
