Video of MarcoPolo reef

Thank guys...I'm pleased, but still a long way to go. I made a lot of changes in past months, including retiring pellets, and my system is slowly adjusting.

Thanks :fun4:

I run 2*250W MH + 4*T5 (2 blue & 2 actinic) by Giesemann.

Photoperiod 6hr MH and 8 hr T5.

I used to run these 8 and 12hrs respectively, but decided recently to reduce the light period to see if I can see any noticeable impact on growth, and coloration. Let's see how that goes...

In the sump, for the macro, I run 18 hrs standard fluorescent light, with inverse period vs. DT, i.e. on all night and off 6 hrs in the middle of the DT light period. Objective of this is to smooth out the Ph swing throughout the day.

i would aqua scape the tank and put the corals up of the bottom. what kelvin in the mh it looks very white. everything looks healthy and fits the room nicely.

Hi Chris88, indeed my plan is to aqua scape the tank, add a bit more LR, and better position the corals. But at present I am fighting a cyano issue and want to sort that out first. Once I get my tank to where I want it to be from water quality perspective, I then plan a major aqua scape project. I've seen some really cool displays (e.g. japanese aqua scaping), and would like to apply that my tank too.

I guess my next video should be "MarcoPolo in Japan" ...haha:D
