I love your scaping. At the moment, lots of bare rock can be seen. But I can see potential in the rockwork. Once the corals have grown it will look much better.
From the appearnce of your corals I see that your doing quite well. Your corals appear quite healthy and colourful.
Keep up the good work!
nice tank![]()
Really looking great! Love the growth shots of the Chili Pepper. Obviously everything is really happy. What you are dosing currently?
Update?
just loving everything, great work.
Just read through your whole thread. Beautiful display!! Great tank set up. I'm planning something similar where I hope to have most of the equipment stored neatly under the stand. I will no doubt use this as inspiration.
Truly amazing tank.
One question: do you have any trouble keeping everything look good? I would think that over time the area under the tank (where the sump is) would get dirty/messy and make it not look at sharp.
I really love the organization of the sump and wiring! I have a question. How do you service pumps or remove them from sump for cleaning if the power cords are tied down or tied together? Do you have to clip the wire loose and then thread it back through the maze?
I LOVE your attention to detail. I wish I was so disciplined with my tank.
I have a question about the Geisemann... Do you feel you get good front to back PAR on the 30" tank? I also have an Infinity over a 30" wide tank and I'm concerned about not having enough light for the 30 inches front to back. It's a new tank, no sps yet and I don't have a par meter to find out for myself.
The few LPS in the tank are towards the front and back and are doing fine. But I'm not sure that will be the case with stonies.
Thanks for your feedback and sharing your tank with us.
Fantastic progress on the tank. I also followed you on Nano-Reef with your previous build and I must say you have inspired me greatly.
I am now in the process of a build myself, a 60 gallon cube.
I was planning on using your electrical panel idea and build mine out similarly. Have you had any issues with keeping it in the stand, with moisture or corrosion?
Thanks.
incredible journey.
love how you have ur ballasts and controller etc really tight and clean
Your ability to document this build in a succinct manner with words and pictures is absolutely astounding. I am brand new to the hobby and have spent the last 48 hours on RC doing research. Your journal is an all in one reference for newbies like myself. I can only hope to be able to build my 180g tank to these type of standards. To me, nothing else is acceptable! My initial list of equipment has been 100% revised!
I have subscribed to this thread and will continue to follow your progress and congratulate you when you are awarded TOTM!
Unbelievable set up and finished product. I'm so excited to get started!!!
EVERYTHING looks great!!! Look forward to seeing more photos![]()
Did anybody get a copy of the OP's data log? I PM'd Urbaneks a couple months ago, but he hasn't been on the site in a while. If he sent you a copy, could someone forward it to me? PM Please.
Yes, I've been waiting for it as well. Please include me if it is available.
Tha ka for the wonderful read - the equipment set up is amazing - thanks for all the ideas ! U rock
Enjoyed reading through this thread for the past hour or so. Your attention to detail and wiring job is the most impressive to me. I love the color coordinating and the towel racks. Beautiful tank and beautiful corals and would love to see an update of how things are going. Glad to see you stuck with it even after the misfortune of the tank cracking
Tank's looking very beautiful. Excellent job. How do you like the KZ products? Which you think made a difference?
Thanks for the update and sharing your experience. Great to see you ate back![]()
Wow! This is looking super! Whats the tall "Y" shaped coral on the left? It is an acro or a gorgonian of some sort?
Anyways, keep up the great work. The tank looks super clean, healthy and beautiful!
Looking good, Brad ! Im glad that KZ Coral Snow recommendation has worked out well for your reef. Cyano can be overwhelming at times, especially for us perfectionist type reefers.
Excellent work/idea on that aquaticlog, looks very promising ... Ive been trying to nail down an all in one, pre-programmed log for the new system but most Ive experienced fall short in one aspect or another. Yours looks well designed.
We need to catch up sometime soon, you wont believe what I have planned for the near future ... Lets just say Ill finally be joining the Large Reef ranks here on RC, comfortably !
Look forward to hearing from you soon !
Best Regards,
Great pictures, thanks for the updates.
I have a cali tort that hasn't done much in my tank, grows extremely slow.
The Mint Cherry Crunch is a sweet coral.![]()
