Hi guys. My wife and I will be visiting the fine city of Cleveland this weekend for her families annual Christmas party. We'll be in town for three days and I was kinda wondering if there were any LFS worth checking out?? The ones around here really blow and I'm thinking that a larger city like Cleveland might have more to offer.
I don't know if this makes a difference but my wife said to be sure and mention that we'll be staying on the west side??
Anyway if ya have some suggestions let me know!!
Thanks

Take a look at Salty Critter and Aquatic Technologies. Do a google and you can find both. Salty is also a sponsor on here.

Amherst in the basement of a Ben Franklin Store not a huge selection but very unique, family owned and run, an old 5 and dime with a lfs incorporated into it

Tropical Aquarium in brunswick on pearl rd is a nice store he had a very nice selection when we were in there last week! And very good prices :)

salty for coral and good prices... if you want fish... or to just look.. aquarium adventure has a lot fish... but dont plan on buying anything unless you want to pay a lot for it. AA is 480 and ridge road.

Thanks for all the great suggestions! I don't know if I'll have time to see all the stores mentioned but I'll try and visit as many as I can.
Thanks again for all your help!

As mentioned, if you just have time for one... make the trip out to Salty Critter in Vermillion. It may be a bit further of a drive... but it's worth it! Don't second guess it :).

Hey just wanted to thank everyone for the great suggestions on which lfs to visit. You guys don't know how good you have it.
We managed to make an afternoon out of it and visited 3 in the area. Tropical Aquarium(it was literally 5 mins from us), Aquatic Technology, and Aquarium Adventure.

Aquatic Tech was hands down the coolest store we went to. It was a little dissorganized...ok alot disorganized lol but the amount of fish/coral they had for sale was amazing. I saw fish their that I had only read about or seen pictures of. It was really cool to see.

The only real disappointment was Salty Critter...We went an hour out of our way on our way home only to find out they aren't open till noon on Mondays....but thats kinda my fault for not reading the add in the phone book correctly.
All in all we had a great time and Cleveland definitely has more to offer than Peoria. I cant wait to hit them all up again next year!
Thanks again
Barrett

Glad you had fun, if you think AT had lots of livestock you would have died seeing salty critters coral selection.

Sorry that you drove all the way out there and they were not open, :(
