Vlamingi Tang

I just purchased a 4" Vlamingi Tang yesterday. I`ve been watching this guy for a couple weeks at LFS. He`s doing great so far what a GREAT looking fish. $49 at (In Living Color) Marlton NJ.

Anyone have one of these? This thing has some great colors!

yeah.. i've heard of them.. absolutely stunning fish and they get huge like over a foot long... awesome fish!

Very nice fish. Great price. You'll need a tank upgrade, though, because they do grow pretty fast.

I hope doesn`t get to big to fast!
I`m thinking of doing a 300 gallon system.

i had to adopt 2. went from 2" juvis to now 5" juvis in... 6 months?

advanced aquarist said that these get up to 2' (that's right! 24"s).

i don't know what to do with mine. they're housed in 125G 6' but you can definitely tell it's still too small for them.

watch the HLLE. make sure you feed it properly.

Had a 13" one for a while in my400G tank. It was peaceful and would change colors, dark to light gold, depending on his mood. Got rid of him as I wante dmore room for my pair of Naso tangs to swim and grow, which are now in the 12" range. You'll need at least a 7' long tank with plenty of swimming room if you want to keep him.

Gorgeous fish. You will need more than 300 gallons for this fish for sure. Highly recommended fish if you have the tank size for it. Will allow you to feed it from your hand after it recognizes you.
