Vor tech MP 60 or Vor tech MP 40

Hey just need some info on this. what do you guys think is better for my 72 bow tank.

A Vor Tech MP 60 or Vor Tech MP 40.

+1 on the 40 the 60 will be too much for your tank..

You can use a mp60 just tune in down . I had a mp40 on a 75 turned all the way up and it still wasnt enough flow for my tank. The mp60 will be fine in your tank. If your going to go sps the mp60 will be the only pump you need in that tank

Hay remember flow is the key theres no such thing as to much flow . Min speed on the mp60 is 2500gph max speed on the mp40 is 3500gph you will be fine

Isn't the minimum of the MP60 3500GPH?

That's what I have seen as far as the specs for the MP60 are concerned ... 3500-7500GPH

In the beginning (last week-lol), I really wanted a MP40 and found out that for around $400 you only get one "headphone-pump-thing." I was thinking of getting jsut one and the other in the next few weeks as I heard that most don't even crank their MP40's up to the max.

Now Im in the same boat and considering one MP60 for a 80 gallon with the same foot-print as a 75gallon.

40s are definitely enough for tanks under 180g in my opinion, I rather do 2 40s than 1 60.

I think even a mp40 is a lot for a 72 and so damn expensive. Personally I stick w/ my Koralias and save a few hundred.

Def 40's, id run prob two in my opinion. I know the price is expensive, but trust me once you buy one, you ll be glad you didnt waste your money on the garbage before and then turn around and buy one later.
