Is there anyone currently running these powerheads as I am thinking of purchasing 1 or 2 and I was wondering if they live up to their name. They seem like a very nice set-up although I don't think I need the battery back-up.

I have three of them. They put out some big flow. The only complaint I have is that they get a little noisy in certain modes when turned up all the way. At least one of my units does this. I have heard others having same problem in certain modes. Mine does it in pulse mode. Other than that they are great units. No electricity in water no heat transfer in the water. Easy to move and put on the tank. Great flow.

You have to love the fact that Chad's posts are so informative and complete. This is truely a busy person but then again...............never mind.

I found a guy that has them for 365 shipped so I think I might try one and see what happens.
