Hello everyone, I just purchased an mp10w-ES, my question is if I want to add a second one as a slave running wirelessly I guess do I have to buy the mp10w-ES again and have two ecosmart drivers and two power supplies. Or is there a specific model number that comes with only the vortech propeller pump. Can I add an mp10 ES that's not wireless or not, need a little direction here please help. Thanks for any advice

So I'm going to have two ecosmart devices. I thought you can just buy a propeller pump without the controller and use the one from the first one to control both. How is it wireless if their both wired

u need to buy another mp10 unit just like the one you bought , say u had 4 of them , u need 4 fans and 4 controllers , you sync up all four controllers and make 1 master ...master will control all 4 units , so when you change modes on the master , the slaves change as well , basically you dont need all the controllers accesible , only the one you pick as the master , feeding mode picked on the master will make all of your fans slow down at the same time and start back up at the same time without having to turn all four units to feeding mode . the eco part is when the mode selected for tank cleaning all the fans work together to create a disturbance . very nice when they are paired up .

Thanks reefir I knew you would chime in, it was at your house I first saw the vortech's. I'm sure you would be glad to hear I finally have some water movement in there lol. Btw I also purchased an RO/DI unit and installed a utility sink in my basement, addiction here I come lol thanks alot

haha , good luck , if you dont dive in head first your only regret would be never diving in at all . there are worse things to be addicted to , even though it might be cheaper to do drugs ..lol.. did you buy a second unit , they get expensive but they are awsome .did u make a skimmer decision . still going sumpless?

No I haven't purchased a second unit yet. Not sure if I want to do another mp10 or add an mp40. Still haven't made a skimmer decision and no I'm not going sumpless it's never gonna work go all the way or walk away lol. I'm going to use my 90 gallon as my sump since it's not drilled and get a 75 gal reef ready drilled with all plumbing needed. So right now I'm working on getting a return pump skimmer
