Vortech MP40 wes Problem

I just got my two Vortech mp40wes in the mail today and as I hooked them up I noticed the dial isn't moving the LED dot above like its supposed to. I tried re adjusting the knob but it wont work unless I take pliers and turn it. Has anyone had this problem before?

Thanks!

Same thing happened to mine when i just got mine in (like 3 days ago). I had to keep turning the dial to the right (the direction to increase the LEDs) and after a few complete turns it opened (like if you turn a bottle off coke and it opens at some point). it didn't pop just became very easy to turn and the LEDs begin to work correctly.

So try to keep turning it to the right.

I just got my Vortech MP40w ES in and I installed it and my knob does not work at all either. I ended up having to slip the knob off and use a pair of pliers to turn the little clear peg the knob is supposed to turn. Very poor design for 299.00 dollars. But its a great concept of a product. Just that darn knob does not work to turn up the flow or turn it down. I would recumbent the product but Im sure disappointed the knob doesn't really do anything unless you take it apart and use pliers. Sucks

Robert,

I would recommend contacting us directly to have a new controller sent out under warranty.

It sounds like the knob isn't engaging the tang on the circuit board dial. This has got to be one of the simplest designs they could have come up with. Make sure the knob is pushed down all the way and the tang is engaged. That pop you felt/heard was the tang engaging the knob. It will work. Check to see if the tang is there as well. If the tang is busted then just warranty it. Mine works great.

I had the same issue I opened up the controller and put it back together. It now works for the most part as long as I don't turn the dial to much
