Hey ecotech well after hearing so many sweet things about the vortechs i am going to be picking up a used mp40 from a guy whos getting out of the hobby.... long story short he says it doesnt have a controller or anything so im a bit worried.... is ther ea way to upgrade to a controller so i can have like reef crest lagoon and the wave mode?? Or if not do you guys offer like a trade in of an mp40 and then id pay the difference to like an mp20 or mp40w??? Thanx a bunch

With purchasing a used pump the worst case is that it could need a new wet side, and in your case a new controller. A wet side runs $75 and a controller will cost $100. It's also possible that it won't need an entire wet side, perhaps just some parts or nothing at all. It all depends on how well it was maintained. You should consider this in the value of your purchase.
