I have a standard 75g tank. I have had Tunze and I currently use Vortech.
2 MP10s is the better choice over a single MP40 for several reasons and they will generate enough flow for SPS.
U said had Tunze, did they fail?

tunze are ugly and big and i dont think they compare with vortech but to each there own

Now just have to figure out between the reefkeeper and apex.
Thank you everyone for your input on these pumps. I believe i will go with the 2 MP10's. That will save me a lot of money then the 2 MP40's that i will be able to put else where in the tank. Now just have to figure out between the reefkeeper and apex. After that i will get an ro/di unit [which will be easy beings I'm a plumber] then i can finally fire this thing up....:bounce1:
I am rather new to vortechs, I have two on a 24" Cube and like them alot. But I am surprised that there is no discussion of the glass thickness of your tank in response to which model. Are the claims in the manual about glass thickness bogus?

Ya they are loud!
What does the booster pump do? And how would it benefit me?With your extra cash from the pumps you should look into a booster pump for your RODI unit http://www.bulkreefsupply.com/store...ccessories/aquatec-8800-booster-pump-kit.html
