Want a Really Rare Wrasse?

sunset hogs are extremely beautiful in person. the one on display at the waikiki aquarium is gorgeous and hands down one of the brightest fish i have ever seen (even in their dimly lit deep water tank)

I wouldn't be surprised if he didn't have them. Last time he posted he had one he actually didn't... lol

The last time they were collected for US was years ago. If he indeed has them in stock the three that were recently collected were from the same diver in Hawaii. 3000.00 is about right for them retail.

thats rediculose for that fish imo it looks like a candy hog
"Rediculose." Hilarious. I hope your knowledge of fish is better than your phonics skills......
A very nice fish BTW.

You might as well put periods on the ends of your sentences if you're going to try to correct someone else's text...

Getting back on topic, I would never pay that much for a small fish either, no matter what it looks like. I'd have a really hard time justifying paying $3000 for a large beautiful showpiece for a tank, much less a small wrasse.

"Hilarious" is a sentence fragment. "Phonetics" should be substituted for "phonics skills." The ellipsis should contain 3 periods instead of 6.

Beautiful fish.

flinster - I really don't think we should be criticising spelling and grammar on RC. I for one make many mistakes just because I am quickly writing and answering questions in threads. I don't take too much time over it as long as I have got my point across. I know many others do the same.

wow we had a few of those at the LFS I worked at, we kept one in a coral tank and sold the other two for $200 each....$3000 is just retarded for something that looks basicly just like a flame wrasse.

Ain't that the purtiest fish i ever did see? dos lok alot likem my candi hog

Sorry, had to do it:D
It does look like a Candy Hogfish. I have never seen one in person, but I would probably not pay the price for this fish. There are so many beautiful Wrasses that are more reasonably priced;)

That is unlikely. And they do not look like flame wrasses.
