Want to get another clown.

I purchaced a clownfish that was labeled as a tomato clown (nice red uniformed color) but it looks darker like a cinnamon clownfish. My question is if I go to the LFS and buy a tomato clown and it does turn out that mine is a cinnamon will they be okay or will they kill eachother? Thanks for the help.

they both should be fine together. its a nice color on that clown you have. after a few years they do get big and possibly mean.

Thats why tank mates are trigs and a puffer. As long as it can hold its own I'll be happy.:spin1:

I believe cinnamon clownfish have a black caudal fin, maybe pelvic. I can't remember.

So basic Tomato Clowns can be that dark?

I wouldn't worry too much about which one you get, but you will have to make sure that you get a smaller one.

In addition I suggest using an acclimation box to introduce the new clown -- might want to leave the new one in the box for up to a week.
