Want to trade emerald crab for a frag

I don't have enough live rock yet, so this emeerald crab is simply eating too much of the coraline algae I do have. The store would probably give me credit for him if I took him back, but I figured I'd see if somebody would trade me a frag for it.

I found one local guy that said he'd give me a frag or some money off of one for it, but the only stuff he's got that I want (now) is stuff he's not ready to frag.

If you've got anything you will trade for this guy, please let me know. Pics would be very helpful, since I'm new to this and don't yet know all the names of the different corals. Oh, and I'd prefer colorful stuff...yellow, red, green, orange, etc.

thanks!!

Don't need an emerald crab but always plenty to frag. Best bet would be to stop by sometime as the selection is quite extensive. Got some folks coming by Friday evening.

WHat all do you have? You run a store, or just a hobby guy? Where? I'm in Karns.

Can you PM me a # or something?

Just a hobbyist with lots of SPS, scolys, zoas/palys, acans, chalices, Yumas, you name it, I've probably got it. I'm just outside of Clinton so not too far from you. You're more than welcome to just stop by and look sometime if you like.

i could use an emerald crab...i was just thinking the other day that i've not seen mine in a while. what kinds of corals are you wanting to keep?

Here's one enroute I need to sell a polyp or two to recoup some costs:

Here's another I "stole":

Too much fun but way too much money.

Another couple of recent acquistions:

Bit of damage on this one but for less than $40 who's complaining?

Bit of damage on these guys but they'll pull through:

Still probably one of my favorites:

There, now if you don't make it by, you at least get a taste (SPS not included, whole other ballgame there).

For now, I'm trying to stay with soft corals. I might go with one hard coral, if I found something I really liked. From what I understand, the better salts will contain calcium, and unless you have a lot of hard corals, you can do regular water changes and have enough calcium for one or two corals. I don't want to get into measuring calcium just yet. One step at a time. :)

Can you give me some idea what you'd sell some of this stuff for, or is that something you'd rather do in PM's or in person? Reason I ask is because I'm still looking for stuff "on the cheap." I got laid off the other day and want to keep costs low, at least until I get back to work. Not only that, but being new, I don't want to invest a lot in livestock that I could mess up and kill.

I like the stuff in the first pic.

I don't mind a threadjack. I figure it's like conversation. Sometimes things come up and the topic changes a bit.

As an example, those Yumas I'll need to sell for $40 each which I believe is quite fair. The scolys, on the other hand, I've seen fetch over $1000 each (not these). BTW, all will need balanced calcium and, more importantly, alkalinity. Good topic for a future reef club discussion.

I'm so in love with those scolys!! Thats exactly what I want for a centerpiece in my new tank. *sigh* I'm going to have to come by and drool over them!

Oh, and what I meant by the chemistry comment is that it applies to ALL corals, not just hard corals.
