gotta love saltwater.....
Hello folks ,,,i am setting up my first reef tank ,,,i need some live rocks ,,,,i am willing to drive to pick up ,, if anyone has any they would like to sell, part with , PLEASE let me know

I would love it ,,,,,,, let me know how much ,,and ill come pick it up ,,, i am new at this so if you could fill me in a little bit about it ,,,,i just set this up and i am under way ,,,still need to order my skimmer ,,,,,,,,, what other kind of rock would you recommend to go with it ???

I have around 100lbs that I could part with. I would say $3.50/lb. It usually runs about $6/lb at some stores and up to $10-12/lb in others. Mine has a little coraline growth but is not COVERED like the premium stuff. It definitely has tons of life in it though. Other members have seen my tanks and the types of critters that are abundant in my fuge.

If you are starting fresh and are buying live rock I could give you some of my live sand to seed your sandbed.

I have some base rock in Strongsville PM me back if you are interested.

How much rock do you have and how much are you selling it for? I could use some new base rock if I sell the live rock. Most of the time I see it here around $1/lb. I have about 75 more lbs of base rock but would like to have enough for a 92g corner and I have no problem letting it grow out in my 140g fuge.

I wouldn't want to buy it out from under MurphSalty but if there is any left or he passes on it then let me know.

Thanks,
-- Kevin

One more thing... After you get your tank set up, if you are going to have a reef tank, I have several larger rocks with soft corals already attached that I would be willing to let go pretty cheap. I am starting to run out of room and would like to thin out some of the softies.

Good luck with your new tank.

thank you Kevin ,,,i will for sure come and get some from you ,,it will be early next week ,,i have to work every day untill next monday ,,,, and i would love some live sand ,,,,once i get it going i will get some of the other rock you were takling about as well from you ,,,,i will only need approx 45-50 lbs of total rock , so i wont need all you have ,,,you might want to sell some to the the other person that was asking about it ,,,if you get rid of all of it ,,ill will find some somewhere !! but i do thank you for the offer i will stop out and get some from you in the very near future,,

thank you for the lending hand ,,,, Murph

MurphySalty, no problem, there are many people in this hobby that are willing to help out when you are new. It isn't an easy thing to just jump into. We all make mistakes and hopefully learn from them and move on. If you feel like taking the drive you can check out my system and ask any questions you may have about setting yours up. I would suggest becoming a member of C-SEA if you aren't already. There are many people there with lots of knowledge and most are willing to share for free :D

Now when you get your tank growing monster corals we will all be waiting in line to pull our old favors out of your tank

The greatest thing about this hobby is that you can take a small piece of a coral and grow a huge colony out of it and then share them with others relatively cheaply.

Jeff, I have been having such good growth with my SPS and LPS that the softies are kind of infringing on the real estate that could be used for some nice colorful sticks. I don't think I will ever go all SPS as I LOVE the movement of the softies and it just isn't as beautiful to me to see all SPS. I like to try to emulate nature and have some of everything in there. (OK back off with the algae and aiptasia jokes)

once again thank you very much ,,I printrd out the app for C-SEA
today ,,will mail it in ASAP,, I WOULD LOVE TO SEE YOUR TANK , the only nite off i have is tonite ,,, and once i get the hang of it , and i have huge corals ,,, i will share anything i have in my reef with you or any one on here that asks ,,,,,

thats how you make friends in the biz ,,,Murph
