Waranty without recepit

Roger,

I got my Tunze streams from Champion which I am sure you remember . I did not get a receipt with the pumps. I called and ask for one to be faxed to me and it didn't happen. Will I have a problem in the future if I need some sort of waranty repair on my pumps with out the receipt? I plan on getting the receipt but I was just curious......

Without the receipt warranty is 2 years from production date. Probably no difference since a Stream is usually never more than 2 weeks out of production when the customer receives it. The 2 year warranty is relatively new for us and was done because in Germany DIN standards require a 1 year warranty from production date by the manufacturer and a further one year warranty by the dealer from date of sale and this was mainly done to cover dealers in Germany for there period of warranty obligation and since we have no DIN standard here it applies from date of sale as is the US norm unless no receipt is available. That is one of the cooler things about Germany is there is a standard for everything from returns to handling complaints and everything is done by the book and everyone knows what to expect.
