Warner Marine Now Has A Pellet Product

I have read that the reactor output should flow into/near the skimmer. Here is my problem - I have a hob skimmer - Aqua C Remora. I do have a sump with chaeto - which just doesnt grow, hence the purchase of the ecobak. Suggestions on where to direct the flow???

Is there a way you can run the flow directly into the HOB skimmer without it overflowing the skimmer. That would be the best way or derect it to the Intake of the skimmer in the tank.

Well my I was right after a few days of adding a little vite c the diotoms are 95% gone. So I just don't have enough pellits in my reactor. I will be ordering some more pellits this week. I think I can fit 250 ml more in my reactor.

750 mL of EcoBak for a 135 gallon system

MAG7 full on.

Too much tumble?

Mag7 is about 700 gph. My understanding is 100 gph is the target or just enough to keep the pellets in suspension. I have mine plumbed into the return pump manifold and just adjust the ball valve to keep them gently moving in the reactor.

Mine are tumbleing at about half that and are working great. Man I got to get me TLF 550 there is a ton of room in that bad boy.

I'm not sure if I can move the hob to the sump. I think that if I did, then I wouldn't have enough room for the reactor. My sump is kinda small and so is the cabinet. Any other thoughts???

They are kinda junky, You will like the PM reactor much better JMO I sent 2 of those back to PA for the PM ones.

Your Welcome, I just set my new Skimmer up and was able to direct the out put from the Eco-Bak right into the Volute on the Tunze Hydrofoamer on my like new I-Tech 100
My Vertex IN250 W/Bubble Blaster was just too big for my 59 gal tank.
My Pellets are sticking together most all the time now, I wonder why, Seems everybody else is not having this issue?

I am having the same problem (fluidizing 1.5 liters in large 4 inch diameter GEO reactor pushing 620 gph through the pellets with 1/2 inch inlet and 3/4 inch outlet). I shake my reactor daily to loosen the pellets up, but by the next day they are sticking again. Also, my hair algae is not really any better and actually worse in places and doubt that the pellets are doing much in terms of increasing bacterial phosphate uptake. My system ran cleaner imo with vodka, but I do appreciate the fact that the pellets do not cause my filter socks to clog within 1 day and also do not cause bacteria to cake my carbon and GFO so that I can run them with the pellets (when dosing vodka, carbon and GFO could not be run in a fluidized reactor b/c they would cake up with bacteria).

An observation. I'm almost a month into using the pellets and the skimmate production in My ATB cone skimmer is 8-10 times what it was before the pellets. The skimmate color is much lighter in apprearance. it's more of a yellow/green tea color.

I'm still running activated Carbon, but no more GFO.

Sounds positive. Funkier skimmate and more of it is a common outcome when dosing an organic carbon source, ime. There are more organics to export. Gac exports organics as well, so continuing it is prudent.
