An off topic question - where do you get the ball valves that have female threads that connect to you return manifold. All I find are the slip versions they sell at Lowes or HD?
What is the white thing on the bottum of your drain pipe? Is it some type of bubble trap?
+1 on what is the white thing on the bottum of your drain pipe

Awesome Thanks Drummereef!
I just checked out the link and I will be makeing me one of these bad boys this weekend!
They are sure tumbling a lot, according to Jon Warner It's only necessary to have a adequate flow rate (100 gph) thru the reactor. I have been running EB for quite some time and had them tumbling in the beginning, But they have since become harder to keep them suspended. I actually have seen no difference weather they are tumbling or not seems to me to be a moot point. They are keeping my Po4 at very low levels and the colors are like I have only seen once when dosing Vodka.
I think as long as there is water moving through the reactor the Pellets are getting contact with the food source they devour in the system. What matters to me is that they are keeping these nutrients at bay.

I think a lot of it has to do with ones expectations, maintenance, and how the setup and operate the use of the pellets. I can see off hand many are too impatient and expects miracles while others are not using them as the manufacturer directed.
I for one will wait another week or so before testing but have noticed and increase in thick solid skimmate and color within the SPS. I will also note that I have noticed some cyano forming on the sandbed which was to be expected.
OK Bill thanks for the info. Since then, I've dialed the reactor back a bit to a slow churn. Hopefully the video will help people in their decision on what reactor to buy. The NextReef is a really nice product and really allows full suspension of whatever media someone might use in it.
Good thoughts Jeremy. I wonder too since running pellets is directly related to skimmer performance if the people that aren't having good luck with the pellets use (cough cough) crap skimmers? Or simply undersized skimmers for their system? To me, it's all about "exporting" the nutrients. It's when they get bound up in the system problems start to happen. i.e. bacteria blooms, etc.... but I'm totally new at this so what do I know.
I have it right above it's intake about an inch away from the Venturi. It has not caused any problems that i know about, Hopefully part of the sucess LOL
