I'm so upset. My large blue spotted watchman goby ate my new tiger pistol shrimp. He was a very small shrimp, about one inch long and he became an expensive meal!

I feel real stupid! I thought instinct would prevent one from eating the other put apparently not.

don't make the same mistake as I have.

I am sorry to hear that! Thanks for looking out for others. I have a tiger and need to get a goby. I will keep this in mind when picking out a fish (not to big).

get a hi fin banded goby/rose goby/ Stonogobiops nematodes. IMO they are amazing and they stay really small and would look awesome in a 24 :) And sorry bout the pistol

thanks guys. I just have to find another tiger to replace him... this time he's gonna be much much bigger. How big do they get anyway? And can they live with other types of pistols? I'm thinking about getting a randal's too.

I had a pistol that was a very good size 2.5" mabby pushing 3" only problem when they get that size is then they can bulldoze a ton of sand each day. I had a problem because I like my corals that are on the sand or close to the bottom. These guys are indiscriminate when it comes to where they dump their load. On more then a few ocassions I had work up or come home from work to find my brain coral or Ricordia Rock half burried by the pistol.
Long story short they went to my LFS for credit and found a new home the next week. One mans trash is another mans treasure!

I got a Randall's Pistol Shrimp and bought a yellow watchman goby for him. They have not found each other yet. The shrimp and decided to place himself under my rock. Anyways I can get them to meet? I am sorry about your pistol shrimp. I didnt think gobies ate shrimp hmmm...

he is about 5 inches. the shrimp was only 3/4 of an inch...I was stupid to think he wouldn't eat him if he was small enough to fit in his mouth.
