was my 75 build nows its my 110 tall

UPDATE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!: TANK IS UP AND RUNNING!!!! LOTS OF PICTURES BELOW!

After 2 trips to my LFS, Reef Chief!! I brought home 40 gallons of salt water, buying a RO unit this weekend...just was a bit strapped after everything i have bought this month....but anyways i have a 40 gallon bow front i used to hold the salt water in and borrowed a 44 gallon brute can from Jeff at Reef Chief and used a 19 gallon tub and some other containers....My cousin came over and helped me move the 75 off the stand and we put the 110 on. I only had the closed loop plumbing set up so i had to plumb the 2 drains and he return today while the fish and corals were in the tubs. I managed to get the live stock into the 110 and they seem to be doing pretty good....the eel like i expected has not stopped swimming and exploring his new home. Ohh i had to make my shelf and screw that into the stand also...so about 9 hours later i am typing this tired as ever!! I am sure i am forgetting lots to tell but i know pictures are better...so here they are.....note that things are not all finished need to go back and clip some of the plastic i used to hold the pvc up and such....and i know it looks horrible with all the primmer showing and all but it seems to be doing its job. Oh it took about 10 layers of spray paint to make the back of the tank not see through but i was able to accomplish that and i painted the pvc for the closed loop in my tank black also. more words later like i said.

I am excited but more so because i have kept this a secret from my order brother who will be home for thanksgiving so i hope he likes it lol!!

!!!!thanks all for following and helping me along!!!!!

pictures:

going to clean the glass and all tomorrow and it is MUCH bigger in person the pictures make it look small.

sadly i was about 5 or 10 gallons short and my sump and drain will not work as of now...it drains too fast before it can refill....i knew i was cutting it close so first thing in the morning i am going to get more water...i have my vortech running now so hopefully that will be ok till i can get the total system running.

1 drain goes right into the skimmer and reactor section and the other flows into the fuge but i have a T on that drain so i can open a 3/4 inch ball valve and allow extra water into more skimmer section if i want to. more later as always.---halides on tomorrow and all.

Congrats Paulie:dance: It's alive!!!

thanks and so it everything from the 75....i am glad to see that!!! i did not have enough heaters to heat all the tubs so the fish and corals and my inverts seemed to have handle the 7+ degree swing very well...at one point the main 44 gallon tub was at 69 degrees.

its clearing up nicely.....only thing is a can't run the return pump at full power because it will overflow the tank...but i don't see how with 2 1inch holes. I also am looking around at lights....don't wanna drop that much more money so soon but am thinking about it....maybe after x-mas.....but which is better double ended bulbs or single end?? and i like more coralife fixture but i am looking at a retro with those hex reflectors and 250watt lights...maybe 12k this time even though i do like the 10k look.....again lol also looking at 400watt but do not want my power bill to jump up that high and the heat might be a problem.

Hey Paulie,
I have an RKE. Got one of the first ones that came out. But I havent bothered to hook it up yet. Its installed in the new stand but thats about it. But it sure lights up and looks cool. haha

lol it does look sweet....thats right i know i saw it on your stand....i can't wait to see how you like it....i just would like to have my tank parameters monitored 24/7 and be able to graph them on the pc i think that would be very nice, and they are releasing a wireless "patch" or whatever it is called for it i think so excited about that...but my wallet had taken a hit so i need to calm down a bit for a week or so lol....but my birthday is coming up so maybe not!!!!

nope 2 150 watt 10k with 2 96 watt actinics....its by coralife...its low profile halide set up...i like it cause it simple...i want 250watt lights now because of how deep my tank is.....i bought it used for about 350 new they are like 700 or more i think...you can find them used a lot and see them new a marine depot....2 250 would be nice for you 90 also being that it is 24 deep you could keep anything i do believe with that.
