Looked like a great deal to me so I purchased it, not sure if it is or not What do you all think about the price for the above?

Hey Kevin,

Yup it is the pro version. I purchased it from TheReefStop.com.
You could get software from another reefer, but it would be called pirating if you did...which is of course illegal.

As for the differences there aren't too much. I won't list the similarities, but here are the differences and you will see if you want to spend the extra $ on the pro version. IMO the standard 3 is great! I just wanted the option of Conductivity and Dissolved Oxygen Monitor and Controller, a slightly bigger screen (feel like i am blind as a bat reading those types of things).

AC III:
- 2 PH Probes

AC III Pro:
- Conductivity Monitor/Controller
- Dissolved Oxygen Monitor/Controller
- 4x20 LCD Screen (backlit)
- 4 digital inputs
- up to 30 controllable devices

Other than that they are pretty much the same. You can save about 400 if you don't need/want the capabilities of the Pro version. Still a great product even if you get the Jr. version

The price is good. If you can not afford AC III but at least go with AC II. AC III do come with network build in also. The best price that I have seen so far for the AC III Pro.
