Watchman goby

Today I took my friend to the lfs, to show him some fish he's never seen in his life.

It was hilarious when a yellow watchman goby and him were just staring at each other for a good 2 minutes. No movement from the fish whatsoever, just staring. LOL.

I have a question though, out of experience, which watchman goby do you think has the most personality? I had a hi fin red banded before, and he wont from tunnel to tunnel always peeking out and sitting on the entrances of his tunnels.

But, that yellow watchman just cracked me up.

I also like the wheelers watchman goby, but I have no idea how they act.

Which goby has the most personality?

My Yellow Watchman cracks me up every time. Turn my back for a second and he's perched on a different rock staring at me. Come back a few minutes later, can't find him. A little later, he comes swimming out for another stare-down. What a character... my favorite fish!

I have a watchman goby that disappears for months at a time. I have no idea where he goes or what he eats.

I have a yellow watchman goby and a tiger wardi goby. They share the same hole under a rock. The yellow watchman seems to think the tiger goby is sorta like his own pistol shrimp. My watchman doesn't dig, but it's funny as hell to see him poke his head out of holes in the rock and look around. Funny to watch swim around too. By far one of my favorite fish in my tank!! Every night at aproximatley 7pm the tiger wardi strats to "close up shop" and cover the entrance of the hole with sand, while the watchman is inside. then when it's covered and no one is looking ( or so he thinks) the dives into the sand under the rock to reside with the watchman for the night. It's SO funny to watch. I love their personalities!!!

my watchman goby would chase any of the fish that swims by his hole. He's a big sucker and looks funny awatching him try to swim and chase the tangs and angels. He cahsed my blue spotted jawfish away from his hom. Now the BSJF is sitting inside a pvc housing i made in the sand on the other side of the tank.

My Watchman used to be the most boring fish on the planet until I trained him to eat from my hand.

He's so much more sociable now, and isn't afraid of everything that moves lol.

I love my yellow watchman, it's paired with a huge tiger pistol shrimp, those two have their burrow entrance right in the front of my tank. I can just sit there and watch those for hours. They are like an old married couple. LOL
