water change equipment

Hi All..

I could use some advice.

My setup is in my basement....in a single room: 220 gal display and 6 - 15 gallon single tanks for raising clown fish. So, I need a water change system that has hoses and a pump I can move easily from one tank to the other.

I've tried the little external pump that home depot sells for about 100 bucks, and it just doesn't pump water fast enough to keep water changes from becoming an all afternoon event.

Also, as my system(s) are now approaching 400 gallons with sumps and all, I'm looking for examples of good salt mixing stations that I could place in another room and just pump water from one place to another. Anyone have pics or advice they could share?

Thanks!

Michael

I am installing a new water change system that I will use in the next few weeks. Go look at my thread (worm 180 build) all the way at the end and you will see some notes on it.

I also will have two 200g storage tanks in my fish area that will store more than enough water for my approaching 375 DT/Sump water.

I too will have to devise water mixing, which I already have done on paper and in my head for the 200g NSW container, the other will be 200g rodi.

Thanks Pife, and thanks for editing the link.

I have been through that thread quite a few times, myself, and I am personally pulling a few ideas from different ones. Grady, try that thread, and sit back for a bit and read it all, lots of good ideas and conversation there.
