Water on the floor sensors & audible alarms

Can you make some recommendations for sensors and an alarm that will work with the Aquacontroller III? I would like to be able to have an audible alarm for flood and also level sensors for maintaining water level.

The controller itself has a serial port for the I/O and I am not sure how this is supposed to work. Also, I have the following modules:

PX 1000 Probe Expansion
Aquasurf
Lunar Simulator
2 pH probes
1 ORP probe
2 DC8 power blocks

Would I just need the sensor or the whole Waterbug system? How do the wires connect to the Aquacontroller?

I have not used one, but it looks like all you need is the sensor, to plug into your IO breakout box.

Hi,

I tapped off the waterbug contact's and then wired this into the breakout box. I still have a local audible alarm from the waterbug and also monitoring/alerts via the ACIII.

Cheers

I recommend that you use a 3rd party product, the waterbug (part #WB-200) for a water on the floor sensor. A search on goggle will find many sources for this sensor.
Most connect the Waterbug (WB-200) to the IO breakout box we sell. You need to have a 2 conductor wire to connect between the breakout box, and the water bug. One wire will connect the C terminal of the water bug to the GND terminal of the breakout box. Another wire connects between the NO terminal of the water bug, and the I1 terminal of the break out box. I believe that the water bug also needs power supply/AC adapter to be connected to the V+ and GND terminals (see WB-200 documentation for exact connections and AC adapter type).

The program to shut down you pump would be something like:

If Time > 00:00 Then PMP ON
If Switch1 CLOSED Then PMP ON

An economical place to get float switches is aquahub.com.

I've got all the parts for the waterbug and the breakout box so i would very much like to figure out how to hook it up :)
