Thanks for the offer Jason, but I think I have about 3 containers of Kalk sitting around here (I haven't dosed it in a few months). Perhaps not dosing Kalk lately, has contributed the the messed up water chemistry. I actually found out that same night that I got the frags. Decided to test my water after acclimating them.

BTW: thanks again for the frags, they are lookin' great!

PK1- I need to fix my printer and print out some of those chemistry articles. I would like to read them at the CPU but I end up sitting in front of the CPU screen for so long that my lower back starts to hurt like heck (need a new office chair ).

hans, I print out a lot of Randy's articles. I find it helps me understand them better.

kalk raises alk and calcium at the same time. Just put in the recommended dose of baking soda, uncooked. If you use the calculator above you should have no trouble figuring the amount needed.
You can add the Mg all at once and get it up to 1300

After you get in balance try using limewater to keep CA and ALK at a good level and check Mg once a month
