Water storage tanks?

I'm going to make an exploratory run to tractor supply today and see. Maybe they have a catalog and can order such that I could avoid paying double the product price in shipping!

Used Blue hdpe buckets are great to use. They can be drilled and fitted with bulkheads and usually cost less than brutes. I bought my 35 gallon buckets off of Craigslist for $15 each from a guy who specializes in selling them.

A lot of the stuff you guys find on craigslist isn't found in my area for various reasons.

Not much to be seen at Tractor supply this morning. I could only find one person working and it was a teenage cashier, so I couldn't track down any sort of catalog. Having my 5 year old with me didn't help in terms of diligent searching but I think I covered that option pretty good.

I had seen somewhere, rectangular tall narrow tanks. Those are what I've kinda been looking for.

Try Craigslist. I lucked out there. Found one 55 gallon food grade drum for $15 and two 25 gallon poly tanks for $25 each. All in great condition for water storage.

I bought my tanks from a company that sell stuff for RVs and campers. My space is tight and the rectangular tanks fit better under the sink.

US Plastics sells stuff like that.

I'm understanding why my desired design is not optimal, mainly from a stability standpoint. But but but it's low profile!!!

Guess I'll have to make some garage space compromises.

Madrid Dan, you got the website address for it?

The place I bought them at does not seem to be selling them anymore.
Through google I found Caravana Sega and Francobordo selling them here in Spain. You should be able to find something closer to home.

I say look online like Craigslist for used food barrels- I both 3 that were used to store pickles and are 55gal- cost $20 each
