Wave Box 6212

Roger, first let me say this is an awesome product and can't wait to see it in person. A few questions.

What do guys suggest in placing the overflows? How will large amounts of live rock, returns and other powerheads affect the resonance? How large of tank will the extension service?

Thanks!

I think Roger still needs to do a bit of experimenting with the product. We've all been barraging him with these crazy questions. Hehe.

Peace,
John H.

Not really, US tanks are a completely different animal and this wasn't a project I was too involved with. I developed the new multicontroller and some products that aren't out yet as well as the CO2 diffuser so I haven't had much time to play with this. European tanks don't have overflow boxes as frequently as they have just back drains or stand pipes. It needs further testing before I have all the answers, I predict at worst it will be noisy with an overflow box, I use in tank Comline filters myself so this means I need to try it on a reef ready tank.

Again, if your tank falls apart from this slight wave action I would have serious doubts about the quality of the manufacturer. Stress on the seams results more from twisting the frame than uneven weight.

Powerheads have no effect and Streams or the like will still be part of acropora maintanence. Rock doesn't have much affect, it is mainly length and there is a broad range of adjustment capacity. With the extension up to 600 gals is no problem.
