Wavebox a little noisy

After its latest cleaning my Wavebox seems to have become a little noisy each time it "pushes" - sort of like a brief drone.

I've taken everything apart again and even bought a new impellor unit (6200.700) but to no avail.

It's quiet when I take the pump out and run it on its own as a "Stream" (i.e. no pulsing). The noise only appears each time the pump starts up.

Are there any tips on keeping things quiet?

I would suspect something changed in how the pump was installed or the mounting so it is transmitting the vibration. How do you have it mounted (brackets or magnets)?

Thank you for the reply. I've done a few more tests to try to find the issue and this is what I've found:

1. It's the pump itself that's vibrating. The reason why I wasn't hearing anything when I ran it continuously as a Stream was because I was holding it in my hand. There was a noticeable vibration as I was holding on to it and as soon as I tried mounting it there was a droning noise.

2. I hooked up my 6000 to the Wavebox controller and it pulses silently.

3. I'm using the dual magnet mounts. I can feel the vibration from the pump being transferred to the glass of the aquarium.

4. There's less vibration/noise when I turn the power down on the controller box.

5. I have tried a new impeller unit and triple-checked that everything is clean and put together correctly.

6. The Wavebox still creates a wave just fine - it just seems to do so with a little more "violence" if you understand what I'm trying to say.

So having done all this, I guess my question is in what circumstances do you know of Stream pumps causing excessive vibration and how do you make it stop?

They do tend to vibrate and this goes away with older drive units that have worn a bit. My guess would be that when you cleaned the old one maybe the bush bearing or another part is rotated 180 degrees from how it wore in, if you remove it and reinstall it 180 degrees rotated again, this may solve it. Alternatively if you install a new drive unit and wait a couple weeks for the parts to wear in, the noise will likely be reduced.
