Wavebox on a all glass 210

Well...............after lots of searching I finally found a wavebox. (Fish & Other Ichthy Stuff) So here is my question: Im putting it on an All Glass 210. Am I gonna have to lower my water level? Where is the best placement? and Will other pumps cancel the wave if they are on a random timer?

The wave will not be canceled but reduced in height by a current coming against it. It has to go on a side wall aimed across the tank- if you have a canopy this is difficult but not impossible, you will need a magnet holder though to do it. You need about 2" clearance from water line to top of tank frame.

I am using one on a 75, it makes a smaller wave in smaller tanks, I have a 3/4" wave and do not think it is overkill.

Right now I only have about 1" clearance. Is there an easy way to lower my water level? Have you heard of anyone running a wavebox on an AGA 210? Can I turn the freqeuncy down to make a smaller wave?

You can lower the wave but not by chaanging the frequency, each tank has only one frequency that produces a wave. You will change the pump power. I assume a 210 is a tall 180. Lots of people are using them on 180's and get a 1.5" wave.

Isn't a 210 a tall 180? If so, I have a RR AGA 180 that I am running a Wavebox on without a problem. If you have a 1" clearance, the Wavebox would have to produce over a 2" wave for you to be in trouble. Realistically, you will probably get a 1" wave. I can produce a 2" wave rather easily utilizing the "Tsunami Mode" and haven't lost a drop of water yet. The wave does come in contact with both top braces in this mode though. I seriously doubt your going to want to turn the freq down to get a smaller wave. You'll want MORE!

So what do ya think? Should I start modifying my overflows to lower the water level or just lower pump power? You said that there is only one frequency for each tank but wouldnt the frequency change when you lower pump power?(slower wave)

and yes my 210 is 30" tall

How much room between your water surface and the tank frame?

About 3/4" or just to the top of the exit slots of the overflows. In its normal configuration the wave just kisses the bottom of the frame on each end of the tank.

I am running mine on a 210 and it works fine. My overflows are in a different place then the standard 210 but they are the same height. You have plenty of room before the wave spills over the side.

I have a eurobraced 230 and want to put one of these buggers on to suplament my 4 way oceansmotions. What do I need to know and how do I go about installing the box. The bracce overhangs aprox. 3in. Thanks in advance for the help.

The tank is 72x24x30 and it is in the wall so I do not have a canopy.

You will need the magnet holders and access to a side pane of the tank to mount it on. Outside of that you will want a clearance of about 1.5" from water surface to top of the tank.

Access to the side of the tank is not a problem. So you are saying that I will have to drop m water level 1.5" or will the magnets standoff. Also will the magnets hold through 3/4in glass. I could always rig it to a mangrove high octane magnet but that might get U.G.L.Y.

No, the magnets are plenty strong, you need the 6200.50. The water level has to be dropped to accomodate the height of the wave.
