Wavebox pump..can I slap it into a deco rock?

I have acquired a second wavebox and found the waves too much for my tank. The tank is a 230 gallon. I would like to use the wavebox pump (6260.10) as a stream pump. I was thinking of putting the pump into a Tunze deco rock (6000.25) and using the wavebox controller. Will this work? Would it be bad for the pump???

You would need the 6200.25 stream rock to fit the larger housing of the wavebox pump but as long as you used the 6091 controller it would be fine.
