wavebox question

I currently have a wavebox in a 110 tall tank (48 long x 30" high x 18" deep) - I am upgrading to a 36" high x 96" long x 48" deep tank, and I notice now that my wavebox even in my 30" high tank doesn't push much water in the bottom 6" of the tank - if the tank was higher wouldn't this just get more "calm water" at the bottom (increase to 12") - I am wondering, since I will be having 2 waveboxes in the new tank and honestly think I might need a 3rd can I just hook up a 6100 stream on a Y slave connector and place it between the two waveboxes about 6" under the wavebox outlets? (so form a triangle of outlets all about 12" apart)

Hello Mark, you will need more than just 2 wavebox in such tall tank 96x48x36. The reason wavebox don't work well in your 48" tank because the length of the tank and you may have some rock blocking the wave pattern.

For your new tank, you will need at least 3... (1 wavebox and 2 extensions)

If it is properly tuned so you are getting the correct waveform you should have current through out the tank. Remember each tank has only one frequency that will produce the wave, On a 4ft tank it will be somewhere between 10-1 o clock on the controller.
