WaveBox w/ Extension on a 96x72x30

I am currently in the process of setting up a 96" x 72" x 30" tank and I was considering putting a wave box w/ extension plus (4) Tunze 6100's. Would the wavebox work on a tank with these dimensions or would is it to square?

You would need 2 extensions minimum. I am uncertain how it would work on this dimension of tank.

I would highly recommend the 6200's instead of the 6100's. You have a lot of ground to cover. The GPH is higher, but the flow pattern is also much wider.

Roger,

The setup I had in mind was to put the wave box centered on one of 72" sides and the extension directly accross on the other side. Doubling up with say three extensions )2 boxes on each end) be overkill or would it still not be enough to create a wave given the dimensions of the tank?

Each wavebox is good for 312 gallons, the tank is quite wide so I think three on one side will be necessary. Now, the plan for 4 units- 2 on each side- would likely work and yeild a bigger wave.
