wavemakers at night - stronger or weaker

No. If you want to take the ocean for example it doesn't let up at night and some times when theres a full moon at high tide it's even more.

really? I always thought the waves subsided a bit at night since the sunlight stops heating the land and drawing in wind off the ocean

The gravitational pull of the moon takes over at night. Talk to scuba divers... they feel that the current is even stronger at night than during the day.

The wind may change direction at night but it still continues. Let the waves roll on unless they disturb your sleep.
