Wavemaster Pro- Thoughts and opinions?

I currently have a very old 4 channel wave controller I have been using on my hydor koralia 1300's and it just starts them full blast on/off and tends to break the bump stop on the front cover. I read in the details about this controller that it actually has a "soft start" feature to keep from damaging powerheads. Has anyone had any experience with these?

Its never a good idea to run normal powerheads on any "wave controller"..
If you want waves/alternating flow patterns buy a powerhead intended for that operation..

There is NO way to soft start a powerhead like that with those types of controllers.... You would need to vary line frequency

Well, for the time being I am going to continue using them on the new controller but what powerheads do you recommend to be a decent fair priced alternative to the koralia evo 1300's?
