It is going to be a full reef. If all else fails, definitely a shark and stingray tank.

Looks good glad no leaks!

Thanks. I had a great sigh of relief when no water was hitting the garage floor.

Tagging along! This is going to be insane, congrats!

Thanks for hanging out. I will try to make it as insane as possible.

That's going to be sweet. You said leftover acrylic... Did you build the tank? Is there any reason to glue the extra holes closed instead of putting in bulkheads and just plugging them? Then if you changed your mind in the future, the holes aren't glued shut.

Thanks It was leftover acrylic from the sump I built. I bought the tank from a LFS that was closing and I tried to buff it out. I failed miserably and had the tank professionally buffed. I glued them because I didn't want to do the closed loop. If I should choose to change my mind I can redrill them but chances are it isn't going to happen.

im using aquastyle kits i need to add more but they work great i have monti cap growing in the sand bed about 4 foot under the leds if that means anything lol

That's massive! I don't think I can afford the salt to fill up the tank. Nor the water change.

Yes it's a large tank. But like any other build the initial costs is what gets you. Once it's settled then it depends on your purchases or care of your animals. I know I will purchase 10 boxes of reef crystals and my attempt after my cycle is to do daily 7 gallon water changes.

Wow. With my build I was told I would need 360 LEDs. I'm looking at other options too. I have been toying with a company with 5w LEDs as cool white and 3w blue/royal blue fixture. Fully dim able and I can daisy chain the light so I only need one cord instead of 6 cords for each color.

Yea that looks awesome. I wish you good luck! 7 gallons a day, gees!

Thanks Bobby. I've read somewhere that if you are going to do daily water changes that it should be 1% of total volume of water. So going a gallon over shouldn't hurt that much. Besides, I don't like even numbers.
