ways to entice firefish

i got a purple firefish on saturday, and he's been hiding in his hidey hole about the whole time. he came out yesterday when i fed the tank, but not today.

any way i can entice him out? i'm worried about him not eating.

other fish are a bangaii cardinal and clarkii clown juvie, both really non-aggressive.

i can see the firefish has made several entraces/exits to the tunnel under his rock, so obviously he's been busy. i'd just like him to be out and about and feel safe, i see all these pics of tanks where they don't hide.

Don't sweat it, this is perfectly normal behavior for a new fish. Give it at least a week. My purple firefish hid for a week while ocassionaly coming out of hiding. After a week he was out in the open.

ok great... my other fish all were very open from the get go, so this is new for me.

yeah my fish hide for a least a week when i introduce a new one. I have some fairley agressive clowns, as well as a pygmy angel and when i added a fire fish he hid for a while but eventually hunger drew him out
