WC Picasso?

That is really cool!
I'll have to send this to one of our club members that swears they aren't a "natural" thing.
I think to be called an "A" they need 2 bands connected on both sides don't they?
Not that i really care, still beatiful, I just like the random pattern more than anything.
Nice score.

Thanks! Yeah, I am not quite sure I would call her a Grade A, but I sure love her!

She has put on some weight and been digging in the sand all day and her boyfriend has been cleaning nonstop. Poor guy has also had to deal with her increased abuse lately lol. Good signs!

Oh I meant OP called his WC grade A's.
But yours are stunning as well Colby, I love when they have a dot of color on white.
Can't wait for mine to darken up like yours.

ya you are correct dave she is not a grade A. at the time I wasnt sure if it was 1 side or both. Good to see pics of her Colby lookin good!

LOL, I hate saying that, almost like telling someone their GF is not a 10!LOL
Really I'm just learning this stuff as I go, and reaffirming.
Seems so many ID's lately.
Either way, stoked to see wild caught this way, and they look awesome!

Hahah no worries Dave. I am hopeful that she (WC from Bali...) paired with the WC male (SUPPOSEDLY from PNG) will produce some nice Picassos. Either way I love her and she has a lot of character lol

When you got those Picassos were they the same size? I have had a bonded pair of clowns for more than a year now and the female started bulking up a few weeks back.

Nope the female was about 2.75" and shes a touch over 3" now, the male was about 1" and hes about 2.25".

Bulking up is good! Are they Picassos?

Nice looking percs! The misbarring is likely caused by parents that have a propensity toward misbarring crossed with poor water conditions. In the wild, that might mean they're close to a run of coastline heavily populated by humans; or farmland.
...at least thats the theory I subscribe to. ;)

You know I have never even considered that...but that is a good theory!

Thanks Walt! I really like them. Intersting thought, I have actually been looking into the possibility of using Amphiprion as test subjects for toxicology tests to help determine the effect of runoff on reefs etc. They have many characteristics that would make them highly desireable for this. At this point, anything we know about Picasso genetics is based off of the ORA produced Picassos, which from what I know is purely genetic. I would imagine that it will be the same with my fish, however it will be interesting to see!

Amore169, thanks! I feed them 20x a day plus, so they are happy little fish. My fiance thinks I am ridiculous as I am a broke college student eating ramen noodles and spending my money on fresh seafood for my fish instead of pizza and beer lol.
