We need your help for the TFP event table

Setting up the night before would be great! I am looking at all the stuff to bring and thinking about how I will pack it into my neon!
I will check throughout the night. I will be in work till either 12 or 4 am so just give me a shout.

Carl

Hi everyone,

I just got my cable modem hooked back up. I'm really busy with getting the house in order after our move this weekend. Fizz, I'll try and get some time to write up something about NCPARS. I should be able to get you something by Friday. What type of format??

Jon

Finished the in tank fuge today, I can either meet up with you sometime today, or I can bring it to TFP on Saturday. I should be in Lanc by 9.

- Matt

If you're coming down to the event around 9 already, then lets just meet there. Otherwise it's going to be tough because I'm leaving from work today to go straight there and setup the tanks so I know what we need to bring Saturday. I doubt I'll be home before 9pm.

Ok Carl...don't worry about bringing ANY hardware. Just bring your macro and the samples if you had a chance to do that. Bring NOTHING that you care deeply on taking home alive (read on)

We have a very nice display up and running. Bill King and I spent a good 2 or 3 hours getting it working. TFP gave us their old 58+ gallon reef display setup (tank and stand) and a slightly used mud/fuge sump from amirical to use. We also have lights on both the tank and the sump. We have a CPR HOT setup and a powerfilter. All we need is macro.

Because of the debris in the water I'm not going to risk bringing my DIY setup. I will bring my caulerpa and maybe some LR to liven up the display, but I didn't want to risk crashing my bugs with the change in salinity and other factors.

We will hopefully find room for the in-tank stuff..it depends how you hang them. We only have access to 3 sides of the tank.

We are in the back this year...Reefnest and NCPARS share 2 tables in an L and a Lancaster reef club is next to us.

I have 200+ handouts for the swap and the fuge display..I think we're set.

See you folks there. Time to get a few hours sleep before hiking back down there. :)

Ok chaeto and samples it is. I will catch the samples in the morning before I leave. I am planning on being there at around 8.

See ya!

Carl

Great work guys, love the info flyer... Your info is going to help me put an AquaFuge on my 75g. I can't do a sump at the moment, so I guess it's better the nothing. If one of you guys could be nice enough to donate a clump of macro, I'd be grateful, unless TFP has some macro for sale?

I won't get there till about 1 PM+... BTW, I'm not a club member, but will happily visit your table. :)

It'd be better if you visited on Sunday..unless we have A LOT of macro. I don't want to give too much away until near the end when the display will have to come down.

We'll see what we have.

I understand fully... I just ordered the AquaFuge + Matching Light from Marine Depot (cheaper ;))
Again, great job on the flyer...

hey rich
i'm about and hour north of you but i can get you some i think i know some people closer to you thou

We actually had enough to give some out today..especially since one of our custom fuge's never arrived. :)

One of the members gave me a nice handful. I sincerely appreciate it. My CPR AF24 (Large) will be here by weeks end, until then it will be in one of my specimen containers. Thanks guys, and nice setup, and information!

Now the bad news, I pickup some 48" URI 03 VHO lamps, as I always get lamps when I go to avoid over-sized box fees. Well, the one lamp to my utter shock was a 45" in a 48" box. #%$@ Now I need to order a 48" lamp! #%$@....
:furious:

sigh....

Nice job!!!

Nice job!!!

I was at TFP on Saturday and saw our display. GREAT JOB to all who contributed!!!

Everytime we walked past the display, there were new faces there. People seemed genuinely interested in the club and that's great.

Fizz-Well done AGAIN Fizz. I've seen the beatings you've taken here and it's completely unjustified. Once again you've stepped up to the plate and gotten it done. You always do...

CarlC-Nice to meet you yesterday. Thanks for your support and contributions to the display. Look forward to meeting and talking with you again soon.

MO-Nice rocks! Great display too. I'll keep an eye out for you at the soccer match. The directions are in your email.

Brad-I understand that you're there today. Kudos. Sorry I can't make it back down today, but thanks, AGAIN, for all you do.

To the others who donated and sacrificed, thank you for your efforts.

To the "pot stirrers"-Where were you??? I've been with this club since it began. I've been watching the posts here and I've been getting more and more frustrated with the way long-standing, committed, and sincere members are being treated. Particularly by self-serving, schill spam posters. I KNOW what has gone on from the beginning of the club and I KNOW how much people have done for this club. Be careful. There's a silent majority here that might surprise you in the end.

P.S.-Before you ask me "Why didn't you help at TFP?", know that I have done for, donated to, given for, attended and helped fellow reefers, as well as this club, extensively. If you don't know how I've done that, then you shouldn't be asking me anything! Fizz is a much bigger man than I'd be, given the circumstances.

hey,
long day, granted i got there late but once i got there it was time for the others to leave, but i got a chance to give kevin a hand unlike some others that want things to change and can't take a few hours to help out.
maybe better luck next time.

I'd say it was a pretty great couple of days. Brad..you really did miss it though...Today was NOTHING like Saturday. I'm glad Mo made it there for the bigger of the two days too.

I forgot my friggin' camera BOTH days so I didn't get any pictures...oh well.

TFP did let us use a great setup, it was a nice display. I just hope we didn't leave it too messy. I was told to just leave it..so we did. :) I dropped the extra macro in the fishroom with our card on each bag. Most of it was gone before I finished my shopping and left..although the cheato was still there which surprised me.

Thanks to all that donated to the display and stopped by to say Hi. And a big thanks to Bill, Carl and Brad and Mo for hanging out to answer questions.

Hey Curtis..did you buy a tank or not?

--Fizz

That was Mishap.... and I forgot to thank him for making it. Sorry man! Thanks again!

BTW...What do you want me to do with it? I had to practiclly hide it from Brad..he wanted to take it home for frag holding but I had dibs. :) Of course..it's yours..so if you want it back I can bring it to the swap..or hell..you could come get it since you're close! Let me know.
