ok so i figured ill start my build thread since i started buying stuff for the tank i am gonna be setting up a deep blue 57 Gal rimless tank with 2 ecotech radions, 2 MP10s, and a very oversized skimmer since im gonna be going BB with star board to protect the glass i will also be getting a doser to dose my 3-part and an apex later on i figured i should have this tank up and running in a month or month 1/2. Here is a pic of the placement of the tank and since everyone likes pics here are some goodies i bought today.

what do you guys think about this skimmer Super Reef Octopus XP-1000sss dont forget i will be BB and i know they say oversize your skimmer is this oversized enough?

Its rated for 125gal. So I feel it should be a good choice for your 57gal plus what ever your sump volume is(say a 20gal) and at 32 watts. Bingo!

*Remember... an oversized skimmer will work with what it can pull out in organics then it flatlines.* Jbanks said that to me before and he was absolutely correct.
An issue I am currently having...

GL Richie.

so got the tank last night and its in great shape for a used tank so now got 2 questions should i paint the back black or will it take away from the rimless.. and also where is the best place to get bulk heads good ones i wanna put brand new ones in there just to be safe... starting to get excited getting stuff little by little i say another month she will be up!!!!!

Hey Richie make a cardboard template the size of the overflow box and then mark it on the starboard and cut it out using a jigsaw or dremmel so the starboard will fit inside the tank.
