I just got back from dropping off my daughter at camp in Mercer PA. I`ll be picking her up next Saturday and was wondering if anyone knows if there are any good stores either on the way or close to the area that I`ll be in? LMK

I hope somebody can help you. There is a mall near Youngstown (which you almost have to pass through on the way) with a large display of aquariums, not a shop. I've heard some Youngstown people say they like some of our reef stores better than theirs, but I haven't seen any of theirs to compare the few times I have recently been in the Youngstown area. I don't know much about where you are headed except there used to be an aquarium club out that way, but I don't know if it's still around. I went to a few of their auctions, but if they are still having them, I have not heard a thing for the past several years.

I think there is a place called TW Pet Centers in Niles or Girard. I have not been there...I heard about it and Mapquested it and never made it over there. There is a guy who sells on ebay who is in Girard. Is or was "Patty's Corals". HTH

That's a little over an hour from me, so I can't be too much help. There's a few decent stores in the Pittsburgh area though.

Go to eastwood mall, they have 2 1500g reef tanks and one 3000g predator tank. There location is on route 46 and route 422 and go to vernin’s restaurant for lunch or dinner; he has one of the biggest wine selections in the state of Ohio and the best from scratch Italian food in the area. My wife and I will drive over an hour from Medina to go there for dinner and he’s also my customer. (Good prices $15.00 and up)

When you leave the mall go out on the 422 side and turn left, go over 46 up the hill on your right.

yea the east wood mall the 2 side tanks are 1300 gallon but the large shark tank is 3000.
my buddy helped set it up and i sold them the live rock and sand. and help stock it the first time. they just want to rush things. the reef tank fish/tangs have head and lateral line bad. the side predator tank isnt to good the put some big ells in it and it just eats every thing.
the shark tank has some reef tips and lepord sharks. and a ray. theres a link to pics of the set up below. i dont know who is taking care of it now but the fish in the reef are not doing to good as of last week. my buddy was taking care of it the first month or so but those people are cheap. they dont want to pay any one to do the job right
as of tw pets forget about it. they really only have small fish and not many also way over priced. thats why i drive to cleveland area to look for fish. pattys corals only sells on ebay. they used to have a shop but no more.
