Wet-side keeps "flying off"

The only problem I've been experiencing with my 2 VT are when I ramp up the speed, the protective wet side tends to fly away into the tank. It seems like there's very little room for error with those little indentations that "hook onto" the main wet frame. So, when aligning the pumps (due to vibrations) and increasing speed, it very often throws them into the tank for me to fish them out behind the rocks.
Any help is appreciated.

Chech the red o-ring and make sure it is not crushed. The nozzle should fit onto the frame then you need to press and turn about 1/4 clock wise until it is in place. If the O-Ring is smashed or worn it may allow the nozzle to back off and fall off the frame.

The o rings are fine. Should the frame be pushed in firmly before turning to lock in? I don't want to break the frame, if I happen to push the frame too far.

You won't break it, Squeeze the nozzle against the frame in your hands, with the wet frame cover on the back of the frame. Then twist.
