Wet walls in fish room

My walls are getting really wet in my fish room. Room is in unfinished part of basement. No insulation for outside walls. Kitchen above room. Are the walls getting wet from the major temp difference from outside to inside? Should I run a dehumidifier?

A dehumidifier would be an excellent investment. I have a rollabout that looks like R2D2 and pulls water from the air very efficiently. You may dump an appalling lot at first, but it will lessen as it catches up with the problem. They're not that expensive at all, especially relative to the issues it cures.

I run one in the finished part of basement but always have door closed to fish room. I assumed it would pull from tank. I wonder if I should run one in that room too.

I second the dehumidifier, I run one. Also cover as much of your sump as possible especially the input from the tank. You wouldn’t believe how much water evaporates from there.

I run a dehumidifier in my unfinished part of my basement where the fish room is. If I didn't have one it would be extremely damp in the unfinished part of the basement. Yes it may add to evaporation in the tank but having wet walls is going to cause way more problems than the extra tank evap

You could leave the door open to the fish room when you're not down there.

It's really dry here, so I welcome the humidity in the winter. I do run a dehumidifier in the summer though.

I cannot imagine having a tank in the basement without running a dehumidifier. I have mine plumbed directly to the utility sink drain so there is no need to empty it.
