What a Score

I sent Adrian out at 10:30 last night, to drive from Millington to Cordova to retrieve a FREE 55 gallon tank, already set up for saltwater. Definitely worth an hour round trip late at night. His comment when he got home, 'Darn that was heavy and it barely fit in your truck. LOL! No, I have no place for it now, but will get it all cleaned up, check for leaks, seal if there are any, cover and put into storage. :) I couldn't pass that baby up!

when you say set up for salt water, is it just the tank drilled for a sump, or did you get a whole set up?

heres what the lady posted on the tank

This is a tank only. It is set up to use with a sump pump, so I've
been told. If you know alot about aquariums maybe you would know what
the big black box is that is in the middle on the inside of the tank.
I have no idea! LOL It also has some flexible looking plastic tubes
coming out of the black box on each side. I have never used the tank.

Yep, that's the post. It's in good condition, no leaks, and doesn't need much cleaning.

I'll be designing the cabinet for it, and Adrian will build it. I'll be looking for used items as we go to get it up and running. So any help will be appreciated.

Sounds like you can't use it...did I read this wrong?

Oh Yea, I see where you got that. Well, I sweet-talked Adrian, and he's not making me wait until we move. We found a spot. :)

Of course this means I'll be all that much more annoying with questions.

ill give you a good deal on the lights, i had on my tank before i got my new ones, bulbs and all,

Cabin3tGuy, PM me. Let's talk. :)

Teena,

Wil your lights fit? Are they MH?

I just want my clam and my Manderin Goby!!! LOL!!!

I've decided to start stocking it with what's in my Cube, and use my cube for my dwarf seahorses. I'd originally thought about doing them in my cube but decided there were too many inverts and corals that I couldn't have. Well, now I'll be able to have a full reef, and a tank for my ponies.

you have to have a well established tank .... b4 you can even consider getting a mandarin .... or it will slowly starve from lack of food :( .... my tank has been up for a year and I still wonder if I have enough pods to get one

Oh, I'm well aware of that. I know it will be a while if ever, but I'm sure going to try.

Not 100% true, but good advice. I bought a mandarin 3-4 years ago that was eating frozen brine in the store. He has been in several of my tanks over the years and still eats prepared foods like all my other fish. That being said...it is hard to find one in the store that you know is eating prepared foods.

Yep, I knew that I'd need to make sure it was eating prepared foods, and to make sure I saw it. Didn't know about being able to order live pods to stock the tank. There's a light at the end of the tunnel....ok, I can't see it yet, and it's a LONG way off, but..it's there..out...there. I just know it. *grin* And you can all laugh at my foibles along the way. I save the really good "stupid questions" and "mistakes" for the WTMRAC. Lucky you. :P

Do I need a Tricia Drowns in Saltwater Blog? :rolleye1:
